For anyone who loves clothes

Why do I need an account just to see the map?

Because the map is the product: thousands of houses gathered, sorted and verified so you do not have to, and left open it would be copied within days. The account is free and always will be for members — it is simply what keeps the directory theirs rather than a free dataset for competitors.

Is it really free, or is there a catch later?

Free to browse the map and read house pages, with no card and no trial clock. Sartorium is paid for by the houses that list, never by you. Booking a place at a trunk show costs nothing either: you ask, the house confirms, and whatever you commission afterwards you settle with them.

I am a complete beginner. Is this only for people who know the names?

No. You don't need to know a single name. Open the map and you can see which houses there are in your city, or in the one you are travelling to, and what each one offers, before you even walk in.

I cannot afford bespoke tailoring. Is this still for me?

Yes. The whole range is on the map: second-hand, ready-to-wear, made-to-order, made-to-measure and bespoke. On a small budget, second-hand and well-made ready-to-wear are often the best place to start.

How is this different from a Google search or an Instagram hashtag?

Search rewards whoever spends the most on being found, so the best small houses are usually invisible on it, and a hashtag has no way to tell the excellent from the loud. Sartorium is a human-curated set on a map, where the small workshop sits beside the big brand.

What are trunk shows, and do I need them to get value?

A trunk show is when a house that lives elsewhere travels to your city for a few days of fittings; you can turn on alerts and book a place in the app. But most houses never travel — for them the map and the page are the whole point, with no trunk show involved.

Do you sell my data or track me across the web?

No. Analytics are cookieless and anonymous, there is no advertising, and your data is never sold; location is used only if you opt in, and only for city-level alerts. The privacy page has the full record.

What can I actually do once I am in?

Explore the curated map, and open the page of every house that has built one: who it is, what it makes, and how to reach it directly, by its own site, Instagram or contact. Set your city, and Sartorium tells you when a house holds a trunk show near you.

Which countries and languages does Sartorium cover?

Sartorium is worldwide — houses are gathered wherever they are, not by region. The platform speaks English, French, Italian and Spanish today.

I am a one-person atelier with no marketing. Will I be buried under the big brands?

No. That is the whole reason Sartorium exists. In the map's list, the size of a house plays no part. Houses that are subscribed or on their trial, and whose page is complete, come first, and among them the order is alphabetical. A one-person atelier is treated exactly like the largest chain.

29 € a month — what do I get, and why pay when word of mouth is free?

Word of mouth stops at the edge of your city, and you cannot measure it. For 29 € on L'Adresse you get a rich page you control, a pin on a map people open specifically to find houses like yours, and a dashboard showing how many members viewed you and clicked through — the reach, and the proof of it, a small house has never had.

What is the difference between L'Adresse, La Tournée, and Sur Mesure?

L'Adresse (29 €/month) is your fixed point on the map, for a sedentary house or a single shop. La Tournée (59 €/month) adds the travelling toolkit, published trunk-show stops and in-app bookings, and Sur Mesure (by quote) is for chains and multi-store groups. Either of the first two can be billed monthly or annually, annual being two months free. Every house starts on a 14-day trial; there is no free-forever tier.

Who sees my page? Is it a public listing or a members-only audience?

Members only, and that is a feature: the people who see your page signed up specifically to find good clothing houses, an intentional audience rather than random search traffic. That is why the reach is worth measuring.

What can I actually measure?

Page views, map-pin opens, and outbound clicks to your site, Instagram or contact — and, if you travel, the bookings your trunk-show stops generate. It is the reach a small house has never been able to see, and the accountability a large one has always wanted.

How do I get my house on Sartorium?

Create a house account and claim your house on the map. Most houses are already there, gathered one by one during the curation. If yours is not, write to hello@sartorium.net with the name and the city and we will add it ourselves: the directory is compiled by hand, additions included. A claim made from an address at the house's own domain goes through as soon as you confirm that address; any other claim a person checks before the page goes live.

My house may already be on the map. How do I claim it?

Very likely it is, since the directory was gathered house by house. Sign in as a house, find your pin, and claim it; once the claim is approved, the page is yours to compose and control.

What happens after the 14-day trial?

The trial lasts fourteen days. It is free and asks for no payment upfront. When it ends without a subscription, your house stays on the map, but members can no longer see its page. It comes back as soon as you choose a plan, and nothing is charged before then.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel whenever you like, with no lock-in, and your page stays live until the period you have paid for ends: the month, or the year if you chose annual billing. Paddle handles the billing, and every email it sends about your subscription carries a link to its portal. That link signs you in, and the cancellation form is on the subscription's page. If you have kept none of those emails, write to us and we will do it for you.

Do I have to run trunk shows to be on Sartorium?

Not at all. Most houses never travel, and Sartorium is built for them first — the map and the page are the whole product; trunk shows are one feature for the travelling minority, on La Tournée.
